Process Engineer (FPSO Operations – Onshore Support)

Job Purpose



The Process Engineer is responsible for providing onshore technical support to the FPSO process plant, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The primary focus of the role is to optimise process system performance, identify and eliminate production bottlenecks, improve plant efficiency, maximise hydrocarbon recovery, and support process safety and operational integrity. Working closely with offshore operations, maintenance, engineering, integrity, and production teams, the Process Engineer analyses process performance, recommends improvements, supports modifications, and ensures compliance with company standards and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or eligibility for registration is advantageous.
  • Formal training in process safety management is desirable.
  • Additional qualifications in production optimisation or process simulation are advantageous.


Experience



  • Minimum 7 years of process engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Minimum 5 years supporting FPSO, offshore production facilities, or offshore processing operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in process system performance monitoring and optimisation.
  • Proven experience leading debottlenecking and production improvement initiatives.
  • Experience supporting brownfield modifications and process optimisation projects.
  • Experience with offshore commissioning and start-up activities is advantageous.

Proficiency in:

  • Aspen HYSYS
  • Aspen Plus (desirable)
  • AVEVA Process Simulation or equivalent
  • SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP (maintenance and reporting modules advantageous)
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced)
  • Microsoft Power BI (desirable)
