Job Purpose
The Instrument, Control & Automation (ICA) Engineer is responsible for providing onshore technical support for the FPSO's instrumentation, control, automation, and safety systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The primary focus of the role is maintaining the integrity and reliability of the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS), Distributed Control System (DCS), Fire & Gas System (FGS), Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system, and field instrumentation. The role supports maintenance strategies, system optimisation, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance while working closely with offshore Operations, Maintenance, Process, Electrical, Marine, and Asset Integrity teams.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer registration or eligibility is advantageous.
- Certification or training in Functional Safety is desirable.
- Vendor training on major ICSS/DCS platforms (e.g., Honeywell, ABB, Emerson, Yokogawa, Siemens) is advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of Instrumentation, Control & Automation engineering experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or offshore energy sectors.
- Minimum 5 years supporting FPSOs, offshore production facilities, offshore drilling units, or LNG facilities.
- Demonstrated experience supporting ICSS, DCS, ESD, and FGS systems.
- Experience with instrumentation integrity programmes and maintenance optimisation.
- Experience supporting shutdowns, commissioning, brownfield modifications, and system upgrades.
