Job Purpose
The Radio Operator is responsible for managing all offshore communications and logistics coordination onboard the FPSO. The role ensures continuous, reliable, and secure communication between the FPSO, supply vessels, helicopters, shore base, and emergency response agencies. The Radio Operator supports marine logistics, personnel movements, cargo coordination, weather reporting, emergency communications, and maintains communication systems in compliance with Company procedures and international maritime regulations.

Qualifications
Essential
- Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Certificate of Competency as a Radio Operator or equivalent maritime communications qualification.
- Valid Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) General Operator's Certificate (GOC).
- Offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET/FOET or equivalent).
- Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
Preferred
- Diploma or Certificate in Maritime Communications, Marine Operations, Logistics, or Telecommunications.
- Marine or offshore logistics qualification.
- Dynamic Positioning (DP) awareness (desirable).
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Radio Operator, Marine Communications Officer, or Marine Logistics Coordinator in the offshore oil and gas industry.
- Experience on an FPSO, offshore production platform, drilling rig, MODU, or offshore support vessel.
- Experience coordinating helicopter and vessel logistics.
- Experience with marine radio communications and emergency procedures.
Preferred
- Experience with offshore logistics management systems.
- Previous experience supporting emergency response communications.
- Familiarity with marine traffic coordination and offshore aviation operations.
