Position: CE Driver - Walvis Bay
Department: Logistics / Transport
Location: Walvis Bay
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CE-class heavy vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Transport and deliver goods to designated locations according to schedules.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy and report any defects or maintenance requirements immediately.
- Safely load, secure, transport, and offload cargo.
- Complete delivery notes, trip sheets, vehicle inspection forms, and other required documentation.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is properly signed and returned.
- Comply with company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements.
- Follow all road traffic laws and company driving procedures.
- Maintain good communication with dispatchers, supervisors, customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Report accidents, incidents, delays, breakdowns, or damage immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Monitor fuel usage and report any irregularities.
- Assist with basic vehicle checks and ensure the vehicle is properly secured when parked.
- Perform any other reasonable duties related to the position.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid CE Driver's Licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP),
- Valid Dangerous Goods (DG) certification
- Proven experience as a heavy vehicle/truck driver.
- Experience in logistics, transport, or distribution will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Ability to complete and manage transport and delivery documentation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime when required.
- Good understanding of vehicle safety and cargo securing procedures.
