Internal Recruiter
Job Description:
We are seeking an Internal Recruiter to join Africa Personnel Services (APS). The purpose of this role is to attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent for APS by delivering an efficient, compliant, and candidate-focused recruitment process. The Internal Recruiter will partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, source suitable candidates, manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, support onboarding activities, and contribute to APS's employer brand and overall talent acquisition strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment Strategy & Workforce Planning:
- Participate in workforce planning discussions through partnering with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Monitor recruitment forecasts and staffing requirements.
- Develop talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
- Process and interview prospective employees for internal positions.
- Determine the appropriate match of applicant skills to job responsibilities.
- Administration of all recruiting and employment activities.
2. Employer Branding & Talent Attraction:
- Promote APS as an employer of choice through social media, career fairs, and networking events.
- Maintain and enhance APS's employer brand in the talent market.
- Support recruitment marketing initiatives.
3. Screening, Assessment, and Interview Coordination:
- Review resumes and applications, conduct initial screening interviews, and assess candidate qualifications, fit, and experience.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and department managers.
4. Candidate Experience:
- Ensure all candidates receive professional and timely communication throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage candidate expectations and provide feedback where appropriate.
- Maintain a positive candidate experience aligned with APS values.
5. Onboarding Support:
- Coordinate pre-employment documentation.
- Facilitate onboarding activities for new employees.
- Ensure new hires receive all onboarding information before commencement.
6. Compliance and Administration:
- Ensure compliance with Namibian labour legislation, internal APS policies, employment equity requirements, data privacy obligations, and recruitment best practices. Conduct reference checks, qualification verification, criminal checks (where applicable), and maintain accurate candidate records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years Recruitment or Talent Acquisition experience.
- Experience recruiting across multiple job levels and functions preferred.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and online recruitment platforms.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across various departments.
- Strong interpersonal skills including strong verbal and effective written communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use a variety of software packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong planning and organizing skills, especially prioritizing multiple projects/tasks.
- Effective time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
