Job Purpose
The Deck Crew (Scaffolder) is responsible for the safe erection, modification, inspection, maintenance, and dismantling of scaffolding structures onboard the FPSO to provide safe access for maintenance, inspection, construction, and operational activities. In addition to scaffolding duties, the role supports general deck operations, cargo handling, structural preservation, and marine logistics as directed by the Deck Lead. All work is performed in accordance with Company HSSEQ standards, scaffold safety procedures, and applicable offshore regulations.

Qualifications:
Essential
- Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Recognised Scaffolding Trade Qualification or Competency Certificate (e.g., CISRS, OPITO, SAIA, or equivalent recognised offshore scaffolding certification).
- Offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET/FOET or equivalent).
- Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
Preferred
- Advanced Scaffolder certification.
- Working at Heights certification.
- Banksman & Slinger certification.
- Basic Rigging certification.
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3–5 years experience as an industrial or offshore Scaffolder.
- Previous offshore experience on an FPSO, offshore production platform, drilling rig, or offshore support vessel.
- Experience erecting scaffolding in hazardous industrial environments.
- Experience supporting maintenance and shutdown campaigns.
Preferred
- Experience with system scaffolding (e.g., Layher, Cuplok, Ringlock, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting confined space and elevated work activities.
- Experience in offshore structural maintenance projects.

Working Conditions
- Offshore rotational assignment (typically 21/21 or 28/28).
- 12-hour day/night shifts with additional support during shutdowns and maintenance campaigns.
- Frequent work at height, in confined spaces, and on exposed decks.
- Exposure to offshore weather, marine conditions, heavy lifting, noise, vibration, and hazardous (Ex) areas.
- Mandatory use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall-arrest systems and other task-specific safety equipment.
