Job Purpose
The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of offshore cranes onboard the FPSO to support cargo handling, lifting operations, marine logistics, maintenance activities, and vessel interface operations. The role ensures all lifting activities are planned and executed in accordance with Company HSSEQ standards, lifting procedures, OEM operating manuals, and applicable offshore regulations. The Crane Operator works closely with the Deck Lead, Banksmen, Slingers, Marine team, and Logistics personnel to ensure safe and efficient movement of personnel, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications
Essential
- Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Recognised Offshore Crane Operator Certificate.
- Offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET/FOET or equivalent).
- Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
Preferred
- National Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Operations, or a related discipline.
- Banksman & Slinger certification.
- Lifting Operations certification.
- Crane Manufacturer (OEM) operator training for the installed crane type.
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 3–5 years experience operating offshore cranes in the oil and gas industry.
- Previous offshore experience on an FPSO, offshore production platform, drilling rig, or offshore support vessel.
- Experience with supply vessel loading and unloading operations.
- Experience operating hydraulic pedestal cranes in offshore environments.
Preferred
- Experience with tandem lifting operations.
- Experience supporting offshore shutdowns and construction activities.
- Experience operating cranes during offshore loading/offloading operations in varying weather conditions.

Working Conditions
- Offshore rotational assignment (typically 21/21 or 28/28).
- 12-hour day/night shifts with additional support during supply vessel operations and maintenance campaigns.
- Work primarily in crane cabins and on exposed deck areas.
- Exposure to offshore weather conditions, vessel movements, suspended loads, noise, vibration, and hazardous (Ex) environments.
- Mandatory use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protection where required.
