Brine Mixer
Job Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for technical upkeep of brine injectors and filtration systems; supervision of Injector and Brine Mixing operators; direct injection processes in accordance with S.O.P.`s; maintain output and efficiencies in accordance with pre-determined targets and operational standards.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production Outputs and Efficiencies:
- Plan and oversee efficient Brine Mixing and Injection activities in accordance with Daily Production Plan1.
- Monitor and record Brine Mixing / Viscosity / Batch details of brine used; Monitor and record Injection / Retention / Drip Loss rates for respective brine injectors
- Ensure productivity of Brine Mixing and Injector Operators at all times.
- In-house training and continuous assessment of Operators
- Maintain Housekeeping Standards in all work areas.
- Scheduled and Preventative Maintenance;
- Plan and perform scheduled maintenance in accordance with manufacturers specifications
- Plan and perform preventative maintenance schedules as per Service Manager program
- Check and sign-off work instructions and job cards
- Start-up re-assemble and Shutdown strip down of equipment for cleaning there-of.
- Equipment Repairs;
- Perform accurate fault finding and error analysis before affecting any repairs
- Ensure all repairs are carried out in accordance with S.O.P.`s and manufacturers specifications
- Check all repaired equipment before handover to Production
- Accurate reporting of equipment downtime at end-of-shift
- Health & Safety;
- Adhere to required SHE Policies and Procedures at all times
- Monitor Safe Work Practices and wearing of clean and correct PPE prescribed for the specific work area
- Perform risk analysis on new equipment / processes / before affecting repairs or performing maintenance
- General
- Assist with all breakdown repairs on other equipment as instructed by HOD Manager
- Perform any additional ad hoc tasks as and when required by HOD Manager
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETANCIES
- Minimum qualification:
- Grade 10 or 12
- Trade tested artisan in relevant trade.
- Minimum working experience:
- Minimum of 5 (five) years' related experience in equipment maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Other:
- Namibian citizen OR eligible to become a Namibian citizen Proficient in English and Afrikaans.
- Must be willing to work overtime, on weekends and Public Holidays as and when required.
