PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Ensuring the correct operating of scales and labelling of products as per laid down standards.


KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Food Safety & Complaince

-Always take precautionary steps to ensure good housekeeping and food safety

-Ensure that the product is labelled correctly as per standards

-Ensure that the product is label correctly as per standards

1. Equipment Handling & Maintenance

-Keep scales clean and tidy and in good state

-Ensure that the scale is verified before every session

1. Skills & Abilities

-Must be able to read production documents

-Must have good hand-eye coordination

-Must be able to work fast and accurately

1. Operational Responsibilities

- Responsible for labelling chicken products Accurate completion of all documents as per SOPs and work instructions

- Carry out any ad hoc duties as required by the supervisor or management

Minimum Qualification and Experience

- Grade 10 (NQF2)
- 2 years' experience as Scale Operator and/or within the FMCG environment.
- Proficient in English, bilingual will be advantageous
- Computer literate;
- Namibian citizen

- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and Public Holidays.
