Job Purpose
The Deck Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating all routine deck operations onboard the FPSO, ensuring the safe execution of cargo handling, lifting operations, mooring support, marine logistics, and general deck maintenance. The role supervises Deck Technicians, Crane Operators, and other deck personnel during daily activities, ensuring compliance with Company HSSEQ standards, marine procedures, and applicable maritime regulations. The Deck Lead supports marine operations that contribute to the safe and continuous operation of the FPSO.

Qualifications
Essential
- National Diploma or Trade Certificate in Marine Operations, Nautical Studies, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent maritime experience.
- Offshore survival certification (e.g., BOSIET/FOET or equivalent).
- Valid Offshore Medical Certificate.
Preferred
- Certificate of Competency (Deck Officer or equivalent marine qualification).
- Banksman & Slinger certification.
- Lifting Supervisor certification.
- Helideck Operations awareness training.
- Crane operations awareness.
Experience
Essential
- Minimum 5 years experience in offshore marine or deck operations within the oil and gas industry.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory or lead deck role.
- Previous experience on an FPSO, offshore production platform, drilling rig, or offshore support vessel.
- Experience coordinating lifting operations, cargo handling, and marine logistics.
Preferred
- Experience supporting tandem offloading operations.
- Experience with marine assurance and cargo management.
- Experience in offshore construction or maintenance campaigns.

Working Conditions
- Offshore rotational assignment (typically 21/21 or 28/28).
- 12-hour day/night shifts with additional support during marine operations and emergency response.
- Work on exposed decks in varying weather and sea conditions.
- Frequent involvement in lifting operations, cargo handling, vessel interfaces, and work at height.
- Exposure to noise, heavy machinery, moving loads, and hazardous (Ex) areas.
- Mandatory use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including flotation devices where required.
