Job Purpose
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for providing onshore technical support for the FPSO electrical power generation, distribution, and utilisation systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The primary focus of the role is to maintain the integrity of the electrical distribution network, optimise equipment reliability, support maintenance strategies, and ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards, statutory requirements, and company engineering practices. The role works closely with offshore Electrical Technicians, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation, Process, Marine, and Asset Integrity teams to maximise equipment availability and minimise production downtime.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer registration or eligibility for registration is advantageous.
- High Voltage (HV) switching authorisation or equivalent certification is desirable.
- Training in hazardous area electrical installations (e.g., IECEx/CompEx) is advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience in the oil and gas, marine, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Minimum 5 years supporting FPSO, offshore production facilities, offshore drilling units, or marine assets.
- Demonstrated experience with electrical distribution systems up to 33 kV (or equivalent offshore systems).
- Experience developing electrical maintenance strategies and reliability improvement programmes.
- Experience supporting shutdowns, commissioning, and brownfield modification projects.
Technical Knowledge
- Electrical power generation and distribution.

Proficiency in:
- ETAP or DIgSILENT PowerFactory
- AutoCAD Electrical (desirable)
- SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP (Plant Maintenance module advantageous)
- Microsoft Excel (Advanced)
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft PowerPoint
- Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
